From time to time, Hotwire, like all websites, makes mistakes from time to time that, if found, can result in huge savings on travel.<\/p>\n

Are these mistakes? \u00a0Truth is, nobody knows for sure. \u00a0Maybe they’re just insane pricing created to generate a lot of buzz. \u00a0It works — after all I’m blogging about these deals. \u00a0Regardless of whether they are actual errors or just insanely low prices, these deals do not usually last long. \u00a0They are snapped up quickly, and thanks to social media, the deals proliferate quickly.<\/p>\n

Do hotels honor Hotwire pricing errors? \u00a0In most cases, yes. \u00a0Technically, retailers are\u00a0not under any obligation to honor pricing errors but most do. \u00a0<\/em>I’ve read about similar mistakes on other websites such as FlyerTalk<\/a> and the\u00a0consensus\u00a0seems to be that these travel reservation systems will honor the lower price.<\/p>\n

One thing I would recommend: \u00a0If you see a Hotwire pricing error, take advantage of it. \u00a0Snatch it up quickly. \u00a0Then, call the hotel or airline to confirm your reservation. \u00a0Make notes about when you called and who you talked to so that if a problem occurs, you have some recourse.<\/p>\n
