I had the opportunity to check out Lake Tahoe recently. \u00a0Despite having visited about 15 years ago, but I was always confused about the various Priceline Lake Tahoe bidding zones. \u00a0This is due to the fact that theLake Tahoe Region on Priceline cuts through two states, Nevada and California. \u00a0During my time in the area, I made a point of checking out a few of the main tourist areas and purposely visiting some of the better hotels that are frequently found to be on Priceline.<\/p>\n

North and South Lake Tahoe – The Popular Priceline Bidding Zones<\/p><\/div>\n

Priceline Lake Tahoe Bidding Zones – Overview:<\/strong> \u00a0There are 7 bidding zones in the Lake Tahoe on Priceline, covering the main tourist areas in both North and South Lake, as well as some outer lying areas that do not get many hotel bookings (and which I didn’t visit). \u00a0For casino fans, you’ll want to stay on the Nevada side as there are no casinos on the California side of Lake Tahoe.<\/p>\n

My Favorite Zone: \u00a0<\/strong>I love the glitz and glam of casinos, so I’m a sucker for South Lake Tahoe, Nevada. \u00a0The Priceline hotels that come up in this zone that are worth mentioning: \u00a0Harrah’s, Montbleau, and Horizon Casino. \u00a0You’re not going to get the 5 star hotels of Las Vegas, but these hotels aren’t bad either. \u00a0Great casinos, pools, bars, shops and excitement.<\/p>\n

Is It Worth Staying on the California Side of Lake Tahoe?<\/strong> \u00a0Absolutely. \u00a0Staying in South Lake Tahoe, CA (note the distinction — CA instead of NV — \u00a0is a lot of fun. \u00a0There’s some really affordable hotels and you’re only a short stroll or cab ride away from all the action.<\/p>\n

Areas To Avoid: \u00a0<\/strong>Of course, where you stay depends on what you will be doing in Tahoe. \u00a0All areas are pretty nice to visit, but there are a few bidding zones that barely get reported on the Priceline Forum<\/a>. \u00a0In fact, with over 5,000 Hotwire and Priceline winning bids submitted from end to end throughout Canada and the US, I have yet to see a single winning bid in the regions of Gardnerville, Minden, and Truckee, CA. \u00a0This is not to say they don’t come up, but they haven’t been reported (yet) and thus not likely frequented by travelers.<\/p>\n

Priceline Lake Tahoe Hotel Lists:<\/strong> \u00a0Whenever I am using Priceline for bidding on a hotel, I like to try to figure out what hotel I might get. \u00a0Although there is not guarantee you will get a particular hotel, the Priceline hotel lists featured on HotelDealsRevealed.com are quite useful in helping to reveal your hotel before booking that room. \u00a0Visit the Priceline Hotel List for Lake Tahoe<\/a> or any city in Canada or the US<\/a> before booking your hotel room.<\/p>\n
