Priceline Amsterdam

I recently had an opportunity to spend some in Amsterdam and I booked my hotel on Priceline.  Priceline Amsterdam was a good choice and a great deal.  I got the Moevenpick Hotel (4 stars) for just $100 USD per night (approx $75 Euros), a superb price for European hotels which tend to be much pricier than their North American counterparts. All the more reason to use Priceline’s Name Your Own Price for hotels like this Priceline Amsterdam hotel.

HotelDealsRevealed.com has seen a growing number of European visitors using the site and asking when are we going to provide Priceline hotel lists for European cities.  Over the last 4 years, we have had a handful of Priceline winning bids for European cities.  Coupled with my recent experience in Europe, I am happy to start a list of Priceline Amsterdam hotels:

City Centre Bizzing Zone:  This is a great zone but some hotels may be loud due to partying in the streets that often takes place in Amsterdam.

• 5 star – NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky:  located in the heart of Amsterdam in Dam Square, this hotel might be too loud for some.  Only a few blocks away from the train station.
• 4 star – Moevenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Center:  Fantastic hotel but a little out of the way for a hotel in the “city centre”.  It’s about 20 minutes walk to true city centre.
• 4 star – Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel:  A great location, but if you bid on 4 stars in this zone, you’ll probably get Moevenpick as it comes up more often.

Central Canals Bidding Zone:  A bit further out, but this is my perferred bidding zone.  You’re close to all the action but without all the noise.  A 5 to 10 minute stroll away is perfect.

• 5 star – Hotel Pulitzer, a Luxury Collection Hotel:  Great location, great TripAdvisor reviews.
• 4 star – NH Amsterdam Centre:  This hotel is a little further out, close to Vondelpark.  It is a beautiful area of town but a little too far away for me, unless you have a bike rental.
